My daughter acquired my taste in rock music. While many of her friends listen to the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and other POP, she is way into alternative rock.

Very Cool Alan! Took our daughter (just turned 14) to see Bon Jovi and she loved the whole deal. She is also into other forms of music including jazz , contemporary and even classical. Bet your daughter's background in dance has offered her great variety in music tastes. LOVE IT!

That must be ALOT of fun for the two of you Alan !!! ..Getting the chance to see all of those bands in one place like this sounds AWESOME ! You guys are going to have a GREAT time I'm sure. By the way, it's nice that these bands actually play their own instruments, and sing as compared to many POP acts that really don't seem to these days. ..I hope you both have a AMAZING time this weekend !
Thanks also for showing us the video !

That's cool Alan. My 5 yr old likes whatever we are listening to from country to metal . She really likes Taylor Swift and after hearing it a bunch of times she can sign along with the lyrics. But when I was watching Headbangers Ball on the DVR once Anthrax's "Bring The Noise" came on and she went to get her litttle guitar and she started rocking out and banging her head just like the bassist. I was so proud .

Sounds like fun a few real good bands, its great when the kids will still go to concerts with mom or dad! Enjoy the show Alan! Both of my kids have been backstage at Social Distortion concerts at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz serveral times being mike is a friend and one of my best buds does alot of mikes car work for him so we always have 4 passes waiting when in town! Oldest son has spread his wings and his best friend goes to Pepperdine and they go to many Alt/Punk/PopPunk shows in Hollywood!

WOW...what a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG day.
But man did it pay off for my daughter. About half way through the show, my friend (from the radio station) found us and gave us...ALL ACCESS PASSES!
The main reason my daughter wanted to go was to see My Chemical Romance.
Talk about a payoff, we went back stage and they were JUST coming out of an interview. I told my daughter to ask for a pic and the lead singer said, "Yeah that's cool..."
Gerard, the lead singer, Alyson, and her friend Caitlin who went with us...
Needless to say, Alyson was VERY HAPPY!
