Just got this 1970 Astronaut Mark II late this afternoon. Replaced the bracelet and took a few quick shots before the sunlight faded too much.

Woohoo Tom ! Quick Pix: Accutron Astronaut Mark II 933578 ..You have done it once again here with this one !!!! ..This watch is just
MESMERIZING in my opinion ! cyclops ..Honestly it can't get ANY cooler than seeing these vintage
watches, along with their phenomenal retro looks, and styles sir. Just love how the various
watch companies had all of these differently shaped cases, AMAZING dials, bracelets, and
movements etc. This Accutron has such a neat case imho. It's kind of on it's way to being
a square case, but then it takes a sharp turn to uniqueville ! cheers The sides seem to bow
inward just slightly, while the top portion moves up one level, and then becomes flattened
on the very top. ..It's NICE because it catches the eye, but also adds another element to
the already stellar looking case. Also have to mention that the brushing is yet one more
REALLY nice touch that Accutron went with there TOO ! ..In addition the brushing there
actually seems to extend right onto your bracelet that you put on the watch. Those center
links seem to be VERY wide, and intricate, and the brushing again works perfectly with the
brushing that is on the case itself ! Quick Pix: Accutron Astronaut Mark II 46145 Don't think another bracelet could have worked
better with the overall look of this watch Tom. It has a very flat comfortable theme happening,
as does the case on this one. So it REALLY is an EXCELLENT match if you ask me. ..One
more thing I'm noticing on the outside of the watch, are those lugs. It's not often that lugs
stand out on a watch, but these here DEFINITELY bring in a little extra personality, and
character in this case. They first of all seem to almost have a hook-like shape to them
which really draws your attention to them, as well as the bracelet. Then you find that they
look as if they are angled in a way that almost makes them look like separate segments. It's
REALLY something else sir !!! ..I also like how they extend out from the case as seen from
both the top, as well as case-back view. Hey, and the width that the lugs are apart from
eachother is something to see as well. Plus it helps fit that extra wide bracelet even BETTER !
..NEAT stuff !!! ..While on the topic of "Neat Stuff", the swirling effect on the case-back here
done by Bulova almost hypnotizes you, when you stare into it. Wow ! ..Is that GREAT or what ?!
It's yet one more intriguing part about this watch. ..However, it's the dial that literally grabs
your attention, and genuinely holds it for a long long time imho. ..Both it, and the case make
for one very captivating combination here. Smile The outer part of the dial almost reminds you
of Outer Space, and then when you notice how those long dash-like markers look it really
starts to become FUN. Not only do those long markers look just terrific, but they help bring
further size, and depth to the dial. The small dot markers right next to them are off the charts
cool, while the hash marks along with "Accutron" name at the center makes the entire dial come
together in one especially fantastic focal point. ALL of the different hands add in even more
excitement as well, as they extend outward, while at the same time melting into, and gliding
in between all of the markings on the dial. Even the date window, along with crowns, or
pushers grab your attention, and that crystal is UNBELIEVABLE as well !!! ..Congratulations
on having this one Tom ! ..What a captivating watch, and look ! ..Enjoy !!!

Stunning watch, and of course pics !

Smokin Hot Retro Specimen. Enjoy.
It will ALWAYS look good - making this design ironically "timeless".

Does look good on that bracelet Tom! Love the case shape! Are the date numbers on a red background? COOL!

That is one cool watch dude!

Companies should start re-issuing some of their vintage modes, just a little bigger, say 44mm!
