| Well as I said in John's New watch thread . I received a package from Otto Frei today. I ordered a pair of springbar tweezers ( no penis / tweezer jokes!) to remove the bracelet from my Seamaster GMT. As many know it's hard to get the SMP bracelets to fit just right even with two half links since it has no fine adjustments. It was quite easy and safer than just a spring bar tool So let me know what you think Tweezers Removed bracelet on strap faux croc w/ red stitching and a wristy I did put it back on the SMP speedy bracelet,I think it lost something in the translation But I would recommend getting a pair of these cool little tweezers they make it much easier..Thanks Chris | |

| I like the look Chris! The band material may need to be different (sailcloth, rubber???) but, the color combo is spot on! The tweezers are very cool. Do they have a forked end like a springbar tool? | |

Yes they are forked and fit right in the allotted space in the end link. I tried a couple of months ago to do it with just a standard springbar tool and was unsuccessful and left a scratch I may try getting and Omega fitted rubber but the one I like they have discontinued. The Twin rubber with the double / butterfly clasp and plenty of fine adjustments would be the stuff . | |

| I like the red stitch as well....great look!! How much is half link? Maybe three would get the desired fit? (Screw it the strap looks better I think) ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... | I think you did an excellent job here Chris ! First of all, the watch is TOO NICE ! ..However adding in the new strap here was VERY ingenious of you. The color of the strap plays off of the dial nicely, while the stitching reflects ALL of the accents on the dial, and acts as the grand finale of this AWESOME watch ! You did a GREAT job with this sir ! Congrats, and keep enjoying this one !!! Thanks for showing us how it's done ! ____________________________________ | |

| hey chris, i like the tweezers. they look like it would be much easier to use than the standard tool, plus it looks like you wouldnt scratch the lugs useing them. its nice to have the right tools to do the job, i recently bought a nice set of bergeon drivers and makes sizzing a lot easier. they cost a lot, but not compared to the amount spent on the watch. by the way, the strap looked good color wise but i would go with a differant material. thanks for sharing. steve | |

| good on you....as my friend's father used to say when I was a kid, the right tool for the right job.... I usually use a small pen knife for easy jobs, but won't chance scratching the bracelet either. So I take good watches to my watchmaker, who has all the pro tools....minutes later the job is done! He often has to remove links for me , as on my Omegas.... | |
