Snowed in!!!!!

Well we got hit with a HUUUUUUUUUUGE blizzard yesterday/last night. Official total at the airport is 14.6" and we had winds gusting over 50 MPH . Right now I can't even get out of the house because of the drifts in front of the front and side doors . Waiting for a friend to come plow the driveway so he can get some of the snow in front of the door. Here are some pics that people took around town.








Notice at the bottom of the pic on the last one. Next to that giant ass drift is bare cement. Crazy the way wind does that.
I'll try and get some pics of the drifts by the side door and the garage, which is half way up the door.

im livin the same dream in Chicago.....wasnt pretty, been shoveling last few hrs incase our power goes out and we need to get the family out.....We had drifts atleast 4-5 ft high

I am supposed to fly to Cleveland Monday morning, wonder if I will get to land there...

Brian, we were on the northern edge of the storm and were spared. We got about 2-3" max in Appleton. 20 miles to our south got hit pretty hard.

The trick during large storms is to clear doorways and driveways every couple of hours to avoid large pileups. It sucks to shovel and snowblow so often but if you don't, you really have a problem.

Oh man, that is scary seeing the snow so high up against the doors, and
windows like that Brian. I hope everything is alright out there with you,
as well as everyone out there experiencing this Winter of Winters this year.
I'm one of those people who actually likes the snow, but when you see
things like this, it's really unbelievable. We have had storm after storm
here this year, but nothing has been like what you are showing here.
