New Tissot Seastar 1000 Chronograph

Just found out about this new Tissot Seastar 1000 Chronograph which is being
shown at Basel 2011. It has a 48mm case stainless steel case, automatic Calibre
CO1.211 movement, Helium escape valve, and water resistance of 300m. There
are a choice of dial colors including black, blue, black, and white, as well as black,
and orange. The bracelet is 316L stainless steel with diving extension, and there
is also a rubber strap as well. Retail price $1000-$1999.

last years show ? I hadn't seen that one before !

I prefer the older style. Any older style. These are not ones I like.

Too fussy. Not really classy or solid looking. The chrono dials are too small and the hands are too. Needs more cow bell.

Have to agree with you Poli. Although I do think the watch is nice, it would be cool if it followed more
along with some of the older style Seastars. Could have even had that neat volcano shaped bezel like
was on the one a few years back. Or those those great harpoon looking hands come to think of it !

I think it looks pretty sweet, like it on the rubba! At least they admitted to a mistake and brought the series back and looks like this one is better made!

i also wish it had the older style bezel. I would have liked to seen the subdials spread out more, they look to bunched together. i like the way it looks on the rubber better than the steel. I always wanted to pick up a seastar just never pulled the trigger and i passed on some great looking one's. Oh well maybe someday. steve

Hopefull some day you will be able to pick a Seastar up Steve ! ..Maybe now that Tissot has brought this
famous model back, it means they will be making more versions throughout the coming years now. Guess
we will have to wait, and see !

By the way, it seems this version on rubber is getting more votes, than on stainless steel so far.

I like the bezel and case design on this one, they need to do it in a three hand.

I like the look! The one on the SS bracelet has an "OMEGA" look to it.

That 3-Hand would look REAL GOOD Mark ! ..Hopefully, we will get to see one later in the year.

John, I'm definitely seeing that "Omega" look. Looks like maybe some Planet Ocean in the bezel there.
