Wowee, that is NICE WD !
Really has such an original look to it. ..The case is
extremely sleek looking, while the dial takes things in both sporty, as well as classy
directions. What A WINNER ! Congratulations on picking this one up here. Have to say
it's cool seeing the way Alpina does things. First of all, the case plays a BIG part in the
originality of the watch. It has a very low, and stealthy stance on the wrist. Plus each
corner, along with curve seems to make the watch more attractive imho. The way
the shape seems to transform from round, to square, or rectangle, and then back to
a circle is just excellent. Also have to mention that it's neat to see how seemlesly the
case actually becomes the lugs like this. Really is like everything was designed to be
one piece from the beginning, and that makes the watch work even better as a result
if you ask me. Another nice aspect about your new Alpina WD, is the black accents
meeting the silver of the stainless steel. Honestly seems like Alpina wanted to perfect
this theme. Even the way the bezel matches up with the black section of the case-back
is ingenious. It's something that they didn't need to do, but nevertheless they did it any
way, and it really helps to bring more character, and depth into the mix. Hey, and they
even put those phenomenal triangle shaped screws in on both sides as well ! Yowza !!!
What a GREAT job, and it only continues right over onto the dial. ..Truthfully cannot
believe how amazing the complications are. ..Having the hands separated like this
definitely grabs your attention. Even the size of the minute hand is very noticeable to
tell the truth, and the sub-dial with the hour hand in it is out of this world as well. Just
really makes you start looking around the dial at all of the various features. The gray
on all of the sub-dials for instance, couldn't work better with the black, and white on
the dial. Each number, along with marking jumps out at you, while also having more
than enough class the whole time also. I enjoy how you have the BOLD numbers,
mixed with the subtle small ones. Those markers on the outer part of the dial are
pretty INCREDIBLE in their own right too. Also like how the rectangular ones stand out,
but then manage to almost hide behind some of the sub-dials. WOW ! The 12 o'clock
triangle marker is THE BEST as well. Even seems like it could be mirroring the triangle
screws all around the watch, and vice versa. It's just amazing to see SO many unique
features imho. The case shape, the dial, ALL of the accents, along with special attention
to detail, really makes this watch stand out. You can see the crown isn't your ordinary,
everyday crown ! The size, stance, and shape follow along with the sporty, and sleek
theme of the watch. Also think that black accent/grip is off the charts cool. Same thing
goes for this fantastic movement, along with view of it.
Between the overall design,
and look of it, together with the decoration on the various parts. It's unbelievably
beautiful. Just noticing how "Alpina" is written all over that stealthy strap also !!! What
a sleek, stealthy, sporty, and uniquely cool watch. Congratulations once again WD !
I hope you enjoy !
Very cool watch, along with pics !
