| within this hobby ?
Are you looking at any particular watch, or watches as of late ? Or are you just having fun looking around, and learning ? Maybe you are even planning on building your very own watch, or are just content. Maybe it's a little bit of everything, or none of the above. Any thoughts on what's on the horizon for you within the hobby ? ____________________________________

| I am working off a list, sort of....there is only so much cash in the piggy bank so I do what I can..... 1. I am going to be continuously refurbing and tuning my vintage collection, I still have dozens of pieces I have never worn. As soon as one comes in from the watchmaker a new one is selected and sent in within a few weeks. I am also buying new vintage but much more selectivly than before. I have my eye on a couple RR approved pieces too. 2. I have been quiet on the For Sale Forum for a month or so....that will end quickly as a dozen or so pieces go up. 3. I am still buying new and used watches from a list I generated. I search for these specifically and try not to get derailed into buying other stuff. A few of these I will never be able to afford but what the hell I may as well shoot for the moon. Some pieces left on that list (in order of price $160 - $10K): Wenger 77009 - I just love the dial on this, pilot style chrono. I have knocked off quite a few lately in this range...this is the only sub $200 one left. NFW Autopilot black with blue markers. Chris Ward C8 pilot with blue markers Citizen Alterna VO10-6591H (JDM) Russian Chronograph (probably a Buran) , not sure what I want yet. Eterna Kon Tiki Movado Datron Chrono Vintage (or new)...vintage has the Zenith movement, new is just new. Rolex Milguass, black dial, green or non-green glass. | Right now... New Rolex Sub with ceramic bezel. I tried one on at the AD the other day and I am sold! I want to wait until the Explorer II comes out to do a comparison...Mark likes the white dial version!! Seiko MM300...definitely this year! I finally got to try one on...LOVE IT! I may try a Doxa too. I need to get one in my grubby mitts prior to buying. I normally can get past that, but there is just something about the case size vs dial size that I need to wrap my head around. It will more than likely be a Pro...hopefully a T-Graph! ____________________________________ M A R K

| I'm going to get either a JLC Reverso, a Glashutte Original of some sort, or a Panerai. Haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards the Panerai.

| AP RO 15300.
Also looking for a legible, budget black IP black dial auto. Just returned a Seiko as the plating on the bracelet was deplorable.

| Unlike some people...ahem...my short list really is short - usally about 3-4 at a time. Still don't have a Halios. Missed out on the Bluering (blue/bead). The pending Laguna release has me sweating with anticipation. Currently in the midst of a Hamilton infatuation (actually a rediscovery), with 2 recently acquired X-Wind and Jazzmaster Traveler GMT2. But there are at least 2 more on my radar. Officers Auto Railroad Chrono Lastly, Deep Blue is threatening a new diver w/Miyota 9015 release next month. No photos available. Despite a couple of these examples, making a concerted effort to back off the military and bad-ass-divers to more conservative styles. The Jazzmaster below was the beginning of that effort. But it's gonna be tough. | |

| Been laying low on the new purchase front. Uncle Sam cash and anniversary coming up so I might look into something....U1 maybe..
In the meantime working on a couple of build projects with Hamilton 917's, movements currently being serviced, an old Illinois Autocrat I'm gonna re-case and something I'm calling my Rings of Fire project, a PAM style case with a custom made dial I've been working on. |

| Forgot to add that I'm basically in look around, and learn mode. There isn't any one watch that I'm after right now, but have to admit that vintage watches have been becoming even more interesting to me over recent months. I'm basically finding more, and more watches, and watch companies that I like, and any list just keeps changing, and also getting bigger. ____________________________________ | |

| I have a few on my list that I would love to get. I've definitely been bitten by Rolex..........we'll see. I must first decide if I want to part with anything in my collection. Right now I am pretty happy with what I have and I don't think I am quite ready to let anything go yet. I am at 15 and think I want to eventually trim it down to 7. | |

| Oh NEAT John ! Rolex ! Sounds really great to me sir. Those other two sound very intriguing also ! It has to be hard, because just like you are saying, you are already happy with your collection. So letting ANY of those watches you are happy with go, would definitely be difficult. Buda, the NBZ isn't so bad, especially when you have stunning watches like that Vulcan incoming there ! Congratulations ahead of time by the way. ____________________________________ | |

Sorry, just saw this aztek Their answer to my inquiry... Thanks for the email. There will be a pre-order about a week before the watch ships just so we can concentrate on final inspections and getting them out as quickly as possible when they are ready to go.
Orders will be placed through the main site at www.halioswatches.com (it's undergoing a re-design at the moment, and should be done soon). The Laguna will not be a limited production, but the first batch will consist of 150 watches. Release should be end of April/early May if all goes as planned.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
