Just received a new Junghans Vista Automatic. First saw this watch a couple years ago when searching for the Chronograph version in titanium. It's not a current model, and one I found in Germany could'nt be shipped out of the country. Was surprised to see one on Ebay last week from a seller in Maine (NOS).

Junghans Vista Automatic
ETA 2824-2
41mm SS case with satin finish
Sapphire crystal
Exhibition back with signed rotor
Leather strap with titanium clasp

Thanks, Junghans is not very widely known in the US but has been around since 1861. They started as a clockmaker in the heart of the German Black Forest region and by 1900 had the largest clock factory in the world. They started making wristwatches in 1927. Junghans basically pioneered the atomic/radio controlled clock-and later wristwatch, which today is a large part of their watch model lineup.

Mark, this is such a uniquely cool watch sir. Can see why you were after it,
because it is has such an extraordinary look to it ! New German 46145 On the one hand
it has such a streamlined, and clean feel about it. Then on top of that you
find all of these unbelievably different aspects, and details about it. It's
pretty amazing !!! Congratulations on being able to track this one down.
Wanted to first start off by saying thanks for the extra information about
Junghans. I have seen them before, but never knew about all of the history
behind the brand. It's really very interesting to hear, and learn about. Thank
you again ! study ..Guess it is easy to understand how a watch brand
could put together a watch like this after being around for so long, and
learning how to build such stunning watches as this. I'm having trouble
trying to figure out which part of the watch is most interesting to tell you
the truth. There is just a great deal to enjoy with this one. Guess maybe
the dial is as good a place to start as any. Just looking at the style of the
numbers is interesting enough. Genuinely seems different than most every
type of number on a watch dial first of all. Also think the distant spacing
between them without any other markers, or numbers in between them
is outstanding too. The way the chapter ring is done is so cool as well. It
has some of the most unique numbers on it, but also has those neat tabs
on the corners with the screws in them. Honestly the whole thing has this
futuristic, yet streamlined classiness to it. Even the style of the hands is
something to behold with the modern, sporty theme that they have. The
amber yellow second hand is a perfect touch as well. New German 803574 Really seems like
Junghans wanted to create a watch that brought together the highest
quality in both simple, clean designs with classic no nonsense time telling.
In any case, it's once again EXTRAORDINARY imho. Plus it doesn't stop
with the dial ! The case shape keeps the futuristic simplicity going with
it's incredible look as well. From the top view there is this extremely thin
shape that works perfectly, and doesn't take anything away from the dial.
In fact it genuinely puts the dial front, and center in my opinion. Then when
you notice how amazing the lugs on the watch look with slight angling of
them, you can't believe it. Even the sides, along with back of the case
seem to angle inward almost like a flying saucer as it reaches toward the
fantastic looking movement. It's almost as if the entire watch was reverse
engineered from UFO. ..The dial, this case, even the crown, along with
movement strap are all uniquely cool, and EXTRAORDINARY ! Congratulations
to you once again Mark. I hope you enjoy this for many many years sir ! Smile

Extraordinary watch, along with pictures !

Thanks guys. I may change straps on this as I don't really care too much for deployants with leather. This one is surprisingly accurate -2 over a day and a half.
