Oh boy Tom, this watch is really something special !!!
All of your photos
are PHENOMENAL, and make it feel like we are opening the watch right along
with you by the way !
..Seems like the wait was well worth it with this one,
and it has to be extraordinary having the original, along with this re-issue now.
Also enjoying your side by side pictures next to the Heuer Calculator. Congrats
on picking up your new Strela. It's STUNNING ! It's always tough trying to find
a place to start with watches like this. Every part has so much to enjoy that
it's hard to keep up. Guess we will start with the dial this time around. Have
to say, I like the vastness of it. The way it feels like it goes on, and on forever
like that is beyond cool imho. Must be due to the watch not having a bezel, and
letting you take in every detail instead. ..Just that extra area on the farthest
edge of the dial is great. You can genuinely see that the dial is cut up into these
different rings. The next one being the hash marks, followed by those TERRIFIC
three dimensional rectangular markers. It's something how they are more in
the center of the dial, and the green color of them is off the charts as well.
Even the way that the 3 o'clock, along with 9 o'clock markers are shifted
vertically like that is something special, that you do not really see that much
at all come to think of it. After that, there are that extra helping of hash marks
near the center of the dial that catch your eye. It's something how Volmax
did that. Also think it's amazing how the markings go right on through those
two sub-dials Tom ! Yowza !!! ..Staying with the sub-dials for a second, I like
the large size of them, as well as have they have their own hash marks too.
Hey, and how about those red hands ?! They add in just the right amount of
attitude, and make it seem like the watch actually has eyes to stare at you
with.
Definitely has the same effect as your Heuer Calculator that you are
showing as well.
Those extremely thin, and classic looking hands are just
THE BEST also. Noticing some more red on those there as well Tom. Nice !
Switching over to the case, it's something to see how the polished section
up at the top slants inward toward that EXCELLENT looking domed crystal
that Jeffrey mentioned. That is REALLY beautiful ! Same can be said for the
middle section of the case, which looks to be brushed. That makes for a very
very cool contrast, and helps show off the polished pushers also. That polished
case-back couldn't be better either ! ..However, it's this movement that just
stuns you with IT'S OWN beauty. Genuinely seems like this is one of those
movements that if you are not careful could get lost in, and that's a GOOD
thing sir. This is a SPECIAL kind of watch Tom. Even the strap is beautiful.
Congratulations on having this one, and I hope you enjoy !
Stunning watch, stunning PICS !
