After a wait of nearly six months I am happy to report that I am the new owner of a G-P Olimpico ca, 1976.
It's in excellent condition having just undergone a complete servicing at G-P SA. La Chaux-De-Fonds.
It measures 39mm by 43mm and is 14mm from crystal to case. The dial is 32mm across.
The sub-dials include a small seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30 minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12 hour register at 6 o'clock.
The dial includes a Tachymetre/Pulsiometer, and the bezel is a non-rotating dive timer.
The pristine crystal is domed plexi, and the strap is 18mm wide and includes a G-P signed buckle.
The movement on the watch is an Excelsior Park 40 calibre.

I am glad to report that this lovely timepiece was definitely worth the wait.

Rick, this vintage Girard-Perregaux is just stunning !!! Just the whole style, shape
it's in, high quality, as well as rareness of it is remarkable. ..Plus being that it is a
vintage GP on top of it all, makes it even more enjoyable also. Smile This is one watch
that was definitely worth the wait by the looks of it, and it was extremely nice
that the watch was already serviced GP themselves. Thanks for showing us such
a beautiful watch, and congratulations on adding another REMARKABLE watch to
your collection sir. ..There are so many neat things about this watch it's hard to
actually talk about them all. First of all it's cool how the size of the watch really
seems to be perfect. That 39mm size is just right, fits your wrist very well, and
honestly looks bigger than 39mm as well. Genuinely don't think this one could
look ANY nicer, or be more perfect Rick. Just the shape of this case is enough to
draw you in with it's phenomenal shape. ..From those smooth rounded sides,
to the cool flattened top, and bottom areas, you can't help but be enamered
with the second to none craftsmanship. It all continues with that amazing looking
brushing closer to the dial too. I REALLY like how the brushing goes outward
like that in an almost sun ray effect. Wow ! Very Happy Also have to mention that the
crown, along with pushers are very eye-catching on your new Olimpico as well.
The main crown looks easy to grip, and has a nice stance against the case.
While the pushers extend outward in a cool, along with classy, AND sporty
way. ..Yet another cool looking, as well as sporty part of the watch would have
to be the bezel. That look with the classy black finish mixed with the style of
those numbers, and markings is excellent imho. Really like the triangle marker
there as well !!! The whole bezel, and case just really seem to be perfect.
Later the dial seems to be more impressive because of the great case, and
bezel. For example, the way the black dial works with the bezel is sensational.
In addition it is very nice how the markings on the bezel work with, as well as
play off of the tachymeter, and pulsiometer markings, and numbers. Almost
helps to make the watch seem as if it is moving. ..Even the sub-dials seem to
have that effect as your TERRIFIC photos show them with that swirl-like design.
THAT is great, and even as they add some sportiness with their look, accent
colors, and numbers. They also add in some extra elegance as well as the
color plays off of the numbers, markings, and finish on the case itself. Yowza !
What a neat texture on the dial too by the way. ..Almost looks like a black
sandpaper. Awesome !!! The hands leap off that dial TOO ! While the black
strap, and amazing movement once again are remearkable sir. Congrats to
you, and as always I hope you enjoy !

Remarkable watch, and pictures !!!

That's a beauty - love the dial colors.
Can't imagine when I'll own a GP if ever.
The Sea Hawk II has been on my grail list for some time.
