Have you heard about the new movement that Hublot has been working on?!
It's called the Antikythera Caliber 2033-CH01, and is based on the ancient Greek
device of the same name. Named after the small Greek islet of Antikythera where
it was found about a hundred years ago. The device was evidently created more
than 2000 years ago with the purpose of calculating astronomical positions. Now
Hublot has managed to take the ingenious concept of the original Antikythera
mechanism, and then shrink it down into an amazing new movement.
Here are just some of the specifications of the new Hublot Antikythera Caliber
2033-CH01...
The dimensions measure 30mm x 38mm, and are 14mm thick, while a flying
tourbillon helps to give you the seconds, minutes, and hours. On the dial side
of the new caliber there are functions like moonphase, moon, and sun apertures,
Zodiac, Calendary of Panhellenic games, along with an Egyption Calendar. Then
on the back of the movement, there is the Metonic Cycle, Saros Cycle, Callipic
Cycle, and Exeligmos Cycle.
