To end the year off, I have added two additional watches to my hoard…

First up is a run of the mill GW7900 “Rescue” G-Shock in white(ish). I wanted to pick up one of these as a beater for a while, so I picked up this one:

Some photos:

Specs:
• 52.4 x 50.0 x 17.7mm / 68.2g
• Shock Resistant
• 200M Water Resistant
• Low Temperature Resistant LCD (-20 C / -4 F)
• Auto EL Backlight with Afterglow
• Flash Alert (flashes with buzzer that sounds for alarms, hourly time signal, countdown timer time-up alarm, countdown timer progress beeper and stopwatch auto-start)
• Tide Graph (tide level for specific date and time)
• Moon Data (moon age of the input data, moon phase graph)
• Blah, Blah, Blah…

Next up is my new MKII Sea Fighter BUND I-C (DLC). This is one of less than 20 DLC Sea Fighters made by MKII (Sold Out!). Due to cost of production and the time involved, they have decided to produce this model in a very limited production run. When I saw the preview a month or so ago (http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2011/11/mkii-seafighter-bund-dlc.html), it piqued my interest because I always wanted to try out a DLC watch. The pricing was very good, so I whispered in my wife’s ear…

So, my wife bought this for me as one of my Christmas gifts and it came in about a week prior to the holiday weekend. The quality is very nice and the blasted case with DLC finish is very cool. Of course, I had to scrap the OEM rubber strap for an IsoFrane RS with PVD buckle...ahhhh, the world in now again at peace! Perfect combo IMO!

So far, it is dead on accurate…that is after two weeks of owning it!

What a way to end the year with the two of these here Mark ! cheers You have on the one
hand that extremely fun, tough, and reliable theme with the G-Shock that allows you to
enjoy a watch without worry. Then on the other hand you have that professional, cool,
along with nearly invincible themed MKII Sea fighter. Both are very very different watches,
but still similar at the same time. Think they each do things their own way, but do it very
well. It's really pretty GREAT, and I'm sure a lot of fun to experience both. Congratulations
to you on these two ! ..Starting with the G-Shock first, it's something how much Casio
gives you with their watches. All of the different capabilities, along with specifications that
often go beyond much more expensive watches make them really enjoyable I think. At
times you feel like you are James bond with the various abilities the watches have. From
things like water resistance, as well as shock resistance. To moon phases, tides, various
alarms, and more. These watches are just plain FUN ! Very Happy Let's not forget the way they
look also. Your new rescue G-Shock here reminds me of the Stormtroopers from Star
Wars. 2 more to end the year... 25866 (Which is a good thing by the way.) All of the futuristic shapes literally
remind you of armor or something. Plus there are all of these incredibly cool accents all
around the case, and on the strap. It's like Casio decided to make a watch that could be
worn today, or hundreds of years from now. Even the glow of that dial adds an out of
this world element to the watch Mark ! alien It's tough, unique, reliable, and very very cool that
is for SURE sir. ..Now with your new MKII, even though the watch is COMPLETELY different.
There are still some real similarities between the two. First of all the technology theme
is also very prominent. The DLC coating has always sounded so impressive, and now
you have that technology on your wrist. Again it adds that toughness in more ways
than one. Giving you a tough coating, but also a INCREDIBLY tough look ! 2 more to end the year... 933578 It is the
perfect blending of technology, along with style imho. What's so nice though is how MKII
brings in that professional feel. It's the kind of watch that looks GREAT in any situation,
and never will let you down. The AWESOME look that the bezel, along with dial bring you
is off the charts. Each marker, hash mark, as well as number work as a team to complete
such seemless look. The flatness of the bezel is THE best also by the way ! I like how it
plays off of the dial style to almost continue the same themes. Even the triangle markers,
as well as hands leap off at you, while still allowing the dial to feel very deep. The watch
has it ALL ! Just the special movement, with phodium coating is enough to make you
smile. Smile Then again there isn't one part about the Sea Fighter that doesn't Mark !
Great strap by the way ALSO ! ..Congrats, and enjoy BOTH of these here !!!

Great watches, along with pictures of everything !

Like them both - Have the G-Shock in black myself. The MK reminds me of several understated cases (Zenton Bronze), with a dash of Blancpain in the wide bezel. I went with a Deep Blue Flat T-100 to satisfy this look. Very nice, keep the wife.
