New Stowa Models!!

As many of you know, I am a huge fanboy of Stowa! They make outstanding watches at very reasonable prices! As much as I hate the term "bang for the buck"...well, IMO Stowa is the "best bang for the buck" of any watch brand out!

For Baselworld 2012, Stowa is releasing three new models. Here is the info directly from Stowa:

1. Stowa Marine Chronograph - Super Hotness!!

The current STOWA Chronograph line is expanded by a Marine Chrono. STOWA presents this year the Marine Chrono besides the classical Chrono 1938 with the typical formed dial of former pockets watches and the diminished Flieger Chrono.


The historical STOWA pocket watch of the year 1940 which can be seen in the STOWA museum provided the basis of the design and influenced already the design of our successful model Marine Original (with handwinding movement Unitas 6498). The matt silver dial as well as the blued hour- and minute hands may underline the significant impression of the design classic.


However the remaining hands are held more subtle but should be good readable if needed and not compete with the normal time display. STOWA solved this problem by using polished and galvanized helping hands. The case diameter is 41 mm and inside you will see under a sapphire crystal case back the reliable automatic chronograph Valjoux 7753 caliber.




2. New Antea KS41 - Great new size!!

This is an expansion of the Antea line that provides a new size option, with the classic Bauhaus styling that comes along with the Antea design.

It will be equiped with an Unitas 6498 and a clean dial with the "Made in Germany" that has traditionally been included relocated to another part of the watch. The only typography on the dial (other than the indicies) will be the Stowa logo. Sorry, there are no photos of this model avaialable at this time.

3. New Antea Day-Date with black dial

This addition is a new option for the Antea 39 line. It adds a black dial to the day-date configuration. It is a great addition to a classic Stowa model!

Looks like Stowa has been extra busy lately. That Marine Chronograph is REALLY special with it's
timeless style meeting up with some modern touches. The beautiful case, that almost bead-blasted
looking dial, those large, clean sub-dials, delicate hands, and of course that movement are all just
TOO GOOD ! ..Those two Anteas you mentioned are going to be VERY cool to see in the next couple
of weeks too. I mean the regular Anteas are already more than nice enough, but it's great that Stowa
still thinks to give it's fans some new options to consider, and look at.
