Like Chris said Ron. ..Wow !!!
Don't think I have really seen a Steinhart taken
apart like this, or fixed up. Now you have two one of a kind watches, that are both
unique, and traditional sir. What a TERRIFIC job you did !
Just once again to be
able to have an idea of something you want to do with a watch, and later be able
to actually do it is amazing imho. Congratulations on picking two great Steinharts
up Ron, and making them even better ! ..One of the things that is so nice about
the Aviation 6498 being in your new Kemmner Pilot case now is how you can
really notice the dial. Before it looked nice in it's original case, but the case with it's
square shape almost seemed to overwelm the round dial. NOW the dial shows up,
and flows with the new Kemmner case.
It's a remarkable transformation, along
with combination, that makes this Steinhart a one of a kind ! ..Same goes for
your Nav. B-Uhr II. Just being able to brush out the scratches on that one is great.
Most of us wouldn't be able to do that, especially on such a nice watch, or in
such a careful way. Nevertheless, you make this one look like it did when it came
from Steinhart's factory. You can REALLY enjoy the design now, and see all of
the cool detail that is in that case-back now. Exceptional work once again Ron.
Even the strap you had adds that extra bit of perfection to the watch. Plus we
can't forget the special hand winding movement that is within this one already.
Congrats on these two beauties Ron. They are REALLY remarkable. Terrific job !
Remarkable work, watches, and pictures here !
