Raketa's Atom watch Empty
PostSubject: Raketa's Atom watch   Raketa's Atom watch Icon_minitimeThu Mar 28, 2013 10:27 pm

Saw this new one today. It is the Raketa Atom which has a cool vintage theme, and is evidently
based on the movement of the legendary Raketa-2609 NA. The dial is divided into three parts
sybolizing the atomic particles, along with Russian military's nuclear fleet.

Here is a little more history about "Raketa" from Montre24.com, along with a picture, and link
about this new watch...

"In 1721 Peter I founded the oldest company in Russia, Petrodvorets Watch Factory “Raketa”.
Since 1961, the factory produces watches "Raketa", named after the first flight into space by
Yuri Gagarin. In 2009, the company entered into a stage of reorganization, under the leadership
of artistic director Graf Jacques von Polje."

"Since the end of 2012, one of the former directors of the Rolex, Jean-Claude Kene, headed
the production."
