Anyone hear about Rolex's material Syloxi? They are using it in their hairsprings in certain watches now.
It is a silicon, and silicon oxide composite that is more resistant to temperature changes, external shocks,
even different magnetic interference, and gravity. All while allowing for better precision, and accuracy for
the watch it is in. Rolex now joins other watch companies like Patek Philip, and Ulysee Nardin in the
building of it's own in-house silicon watch parts with it's introduction in the caliber 2236.
