What will today's smart watches become?

Was thinking about this recently. Maybe you guys have some opinions one way, or the other about it.

Do you think that the smart watches out now will become classic watches that people wear decades from now?
Like a cool sport, dress, or even digital watch from years back.

Or will they be considered gadgets, and become obsolete after only a few years, and new versions are released?
Like a cell phone, smart phone, computer, TV, or even VCR.

So what do you think? Or have to say?

I think they will be discarded by the vast majority of users when a new better unit comes out. I think they are a nice digital watch but the technology is going to grow by leaps and bounds. I'll hold off until someone I know wants to toss one in the trash. Then I'll get one .

Yup, can't see people wearing one of the current models 25-30+ years ago like they do with many
vintage watches, or digital watches. Think many people look at them like they look at cell/smart
phones. We'll have to check back in on this topic in 30 years.
