I only have two. A Jacques Lemans I wear very sparingly and a Swiss Army. They can be useful though. The Swiss Army digital can display time, temperature and barometric altitude. The barometric altimeter is surprisingly accurate, so much so that I have used it as a backup altimeter when flying.

Definite gimmick but I think it's a great thing to have. When is the last time you were sitting in the movies and wanted to tell the time? A lot of my watches have great Lume but it doesn't seem to be enough because I always have to pull out my phone for the time. I only have one Ani-Digi and wouldn't hesitate buying other nice ones.
Besides just having the time and date you ave 24hr time and even and alarm. The coolest feature is, of course, when it is too dark to see your dial just push a button and there's the time. Lol

I don't have an ani-digi either..however, I will probably get one at some point just because I like all types of watches in general ! There are also different purposes to the digital displays as the guys said, so that's a plus..So it depends what a person wants in a watch..when it comes to ani-digis. For one person it could indeed be a gimmick..but another may really like the different digital functions ! It's all in the eye of the beholder with this one !
