Great article from 1971 Popular Science on how to spot fake watches. I guess they were dealing with the same problems 40 years ago. . .

Man oh man..This fake watch thing has been going on for
a while ! CanYou Spot a Fake? Icon_eek

Back then fake watches must have been hard
to spot. I wonder how many people today actually make
the same mistake of buying fake watches !..It must
be a pretty high percentage still to this day ! Either
that or they know they are not buying the real thing in
