My lastest score at the antique show....

Antique show this weekend in Syracuse...I know a couple of the dealers, and I know all the good watches change hands the night before and the prices are jacked to the moon. But sometimes I find a good deal here and there......

I only scored 3 watches.....A 1956 diamond dial Bulova, not sure if case is original, because back says 10kt gold filled and it's a silver case, but it was in awesome shape. A 1950's Hamilton automatic, also in good shape, just needs some polishing...I can't find this exact model in the book, so around 1957 seems right. Both of these are dead on time wise after 24 hrs. Now its time to clean them up and send them out for a service.....movt pictures when I get them open. The 3rd watch is an Orient calendar model...first year is 88 so it's 20years old, that maybe vintage to some, my question is how to you set the dials?

I'd have to say my fav of the lot is that Bulova, very nice score on all 3 though. Congrats.

I don't have a clue....I think you set the calendar with a rotating bezel crown and then the date follows it? Or not, the side button doesn't seem to anything....somewhere long ago I saw instrutions on it.

Great pick ups, you never know what you might find at auctions, flea markets etc. I found this link; not the same watch but I believe it should work setting the calendar for your vintage Orient:

Wow !!! You did pretty well there Sixtysix ! The Bulova is really amazing
with the dial and THAT strap. I also like the looks of your Hamilton as well,
the shape of the case is terrific. The Orient is also stunning, especially that
blue dial ! What a great time this must have been. I never knew antique
shows could be SO good ! Congratulations on all of these !
