There are actually quite a few "saloon car" series around the world... The US has one, called NASCAR. (also known as racing rental cars)

This Aston Martin Rapide is for a series based in Germany that runs several 24 hour races, with many different classes. And to sell more Rapides.

What a cool car Tim ! That big watch on the side adds a little extra horsepower
too. Have always thought those 24hr races were amazingly grueling. Plus it
seems like many of the cars like this one here, are basically standard versions that
compete in the races ! By the way, that color is really something else !

I love watching european touring car races.

And as far as the Rapide is concerned I've managed to convince my wife that it will make the perfect family car!!! Off to the Aston dealer I go!!!

... I just need to sell off two of my other cars. Choices. Choices.

Yep, and the Aussie V8's are fun to watch, too.

Interesting ! It's not something you would expect to see from Aston Martin.
However, I guess they think they might do well. I wonder who will be next
