| I want a G-Shock to wear when I work out and do yard work. I was thinking a Mudman like this. There is no reason for me to drop $500 on a Frogman, so I want to keep it to maybe under $100. I don't like the regular Mudman because I really don't like the red buttons that stick out. I do like the military one, but I have heard it is very hard to read. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

| I think they actually came out of Japan originally. Trying to find out... Nah, it really doesn't matter. I don't want to know. |

| Depending if you like the older versions or newer ones, the classic DW5600E , the DW6900s can be found under $60usd. The blue version of the DW9052 is great too, still seen for under $70usd. Check out the Coscos for amazing sale prices! The Mudmans are great watches too- had the first G9000 in 2004 with red covered pushers....too bad the color turns you off with this model. As an alternative beater, the Casio AMW series is a top runner....solid, large at 45mm and cheap at under $70usd if you look around Coscos etc. I had 4 of them! Here is my beater G....vintage DW9000 variant NOS found for $40.... | |

| Hey Scott. That was the first atomic/solar Mudman that was released which many people liked very much. I have the green camo G-9000MC-3 and the Atomic/Solar GW-9010 Rally Mudman. The Mudman is one of the best G's with one of the best modules that Casio makes IMO. Here is a review I did on the G-9000MC-3 with some pics and also a pic of the GW-9010. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=589I have noticed that the green camo Mudman is getting hard to find but they do have one called the G9000MX-8. Has orange highlights and buttons but I love the amber LCD and the way it lights up with the Dual Illumination. Any questions let me know Oopps forgot the link for the G9000MX-8. http://www.nywatchstore.com/g9000mx8.html |

| Thanks Brian! I do like that rally one as well. Do you know of any brick and mortar stores that carry Mudmen.(Macy's. Kohls...) Normally I get my watches online, but I would really like to see them in person before I do anything. |

| The only ones I can think of Kohls and JCPenny but what they have on hand can widely vary. I have seen the Rally Mudman at JCPenny before though, maybe try them first. |

| This bad puppy from 1996, the Stargate model, would be a great one for putzing around the yard! 50mm wide... | |
