| This new Doxa SUB 1200T NUMA is a limited edition. NUMA is the National Underwater and Marine Agency which was formed by Clive Cussler, a famous adventure author, who is also a diver, as well as long time Doxa fan. One of his characters in his books, Dirk Pitt, even wears a Doxa. Back in 1969 Mr. Cussler was given the original orange dial SUB 300T, and helped in it's popularity throughout the years. Now this new Turquoise dial version, which is said to be the easiest color to see under water by Mr. Cussler himself, is being released. This new version will be limited to 50 watches at first, and then later 500 more watches will be made with a new kind of blue dial. Found this information along with picture at.. http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2010/09/doxa-1200t-numa-le-turquoise.htmland also at.. http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2010/9/2/a-turquoise-dialed-doxa-blame-it-on-clive-cussler.html ____________________________________ | |

| Thanks for that bigger picture of the watch there Ron ! ..Interesting dial color right Ron, Jack, and Alan ?! ..It's pretty cool, and evidently easy to see if you do happen to dive withone ! ..I wonder what the other blue they are talking about is going to look like later on down the road ! ..Thanks again guys !!! One more thing..I just noticed that sawtooth bezel too Ron ! ..Not sure if Doxa has had that since the beginning, but it looks like the other watch models also have a similar bezel on them ! http://www.doxawatches.com/____________________________________ | |

| I think its a computer program rendering of the watch and it makes the bezel look alot sharper than it really is at the bezel teeth! Thanks Tom! |

| Priced at $1690. For an edition size of 50 pieces, I find the price to be fair. |

| I have always been on the FENCE with Doxa...
Are they a respected brand outside watch forums?
Are they a glorified Micro Brand?
I will say that I REALLY like this one and the dial color... ____________________________________

| Yowza WP ! ..Those are two PHENOMENAL looking Doxa's ! Can't decide which is better..the black dial, or that silver ! Tremendously AWESOME watches there !!! That Turquoise is something special Breeze ! ..There is also a different blue coming later on as well ! ..The prices don't seemto be that bad for what you are getting either imho. Alan, I always thought Doxa was a well respected brand to be honest. Plus I like the orange on them ! ..Seriously though, they do seem like a quality brand, and it just might be a good thing that they're not too big also ! ..Maybe this helps them make better watches, and have better customer service ! ____________________________________ | |

They definitely have a solid build quality to them. They are on the heavy side (think Breitling). The bracelets are thick and support the watch head very well. The three I had (two 750Ts and a 5000T) performed within cosc specs. Price-wise, for what you get they are a better deal than Breitling and seem to hold value better as well. I've had both brands and I don't see the extra $800-900 difference in quality that B commands for 3-hand autos. I have since sold my B and 3 Doxas. The Doxas had more interest and sold immediately while the B needed a price reduction to draw interest. Thiis is in no way a slight to B, I'm still interested in two of their models and will consider them when the time is right. The finish is very good and the only negative is that some people had the paint come off the bezels. I didnt experience this with mine. I think Doxa wised up when they went back to online-only selling and at reduced prices. I would consider them somewhere in between the boutique divers group and a well known brand like Breitling, not based on quality but on overall image and intangibles. I'll end this by saying I was skeptical before buying my first Doxa. I was unsure of the size and shape of the case but was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived. The short lug area allows for a comfortable fit even on my smaller wrist. I wouldn't buy the turquoise - just not my style. I do wish I had the silver dial 750T back!! |

| Do any models come BRUSHED as opposed to polished?
They do have a cool case design... ____________________________________

| I think they are all a combination of finishes. bezel is brushed inner/polished outer. Cases are brushed with polished sides but could easily be brushhed out.. |

| i brushed the bezel, case and bracelet sides and clasp on my TUSA, i've heard complaints about the outer bezel scratching up but it was a very easy fix and alot of guys decide to brush the polished area's! I would like to pick up a 750pro but just not looking to add another 1200.00 watch to my collection at this time! |
