These are ALL beautiful here Tom, even when not all of them are working !
WOW !
It's funny how they really look to be in top notch shape, but only
the yellow dialed version is working correctly. Guess it's just the age of them
that wears on the movements. Especially if they haven't been serviced. I
hope your watch maker can get all of them working just right for you so
you can keep them, or even sell them if you want. In any case, congrats
to you on picking these three up, they are astonishing to see ! Was thinking
how even though all three of these Favre-Leubas have the ULTRA classy
theme down perfectly. They still manage to all do very different things at
the same time. The California dial model on the left is extra interesting
because the mixing of Arabic, and Roman numerals is in a different patteren
than we are used to seeing. Many times it seems like one half of the dial is
done one way, while the other half is done another, but this combines the
two styles together. In any case, it's something I haven't seen, and it's
very cool imho sir. Have to also mention how nice the rectangular hand
style together with the super thin second hand is excellent also. The large
dot marker at the end of the second hand is THE best also by the way.
..The one on the far right, which kind of looks like the California dialed
version's brother is exceptional as well Tom !
Plus it's amazing how
just having the regular Arabic numbers on the dial can give the watch
an entirely different feel. I mean it basically looks like the same, or similar
looking watch, but the number style gives it a new personality. ..Want
to mention also that the cases are REALLY eye-catching on these too.
The nicely polished cases couldn't be any more attractive if you ask me,
and it's so neat how the inner part of the case under the crystal, right
next to the dials almost gives you that sterile chapter ring effect here.
FANTASTIC ! Also noticing how FL seems to have matched the width
of the case, with the width of the lugs. THAT is NEAT as well ! Later on
the yellow dialed version, it really looks like they took the "thin lines"
theme to a whole new level with the marker style on the dial. It's like
Favre-Leuba decided they were going to make this watch as classy
as possible on every level, and it looks as if they succeeded. The lines
of the case, the markers themselves, along with the super sharp hands,
ALL make for an elegant package. Actually it's THIS way with all three
sir, and the spectacular vintage straps make these watches complete !
These are special Tom ! Congratulations, and enjoy whether you are
keeping, or selling them !
Beautiful watches, along with photo !
