| Remember this...my first watch modification project. It is a 6309-7040 with new everything except case and movement. Well...I always wanted a 6309/7548 mod, so I did this: I bought a Seiko 7548 off eBay for the project and took it apart...quality :whatever: https://2img.net/h/i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab206/andrema_bucket/DSC00131.jpg" border="0" alt=""/> shoulderless springbars were a joy to remove... nice battery holder... Took the rest apart...notice the nice gasket piece that I found floating around the case... I then removed the 6309 movement from my original mod project and removed the dial & hands. I placed the dial and hands on the 7548... I recased the movement and presto...re-modded seiko with a 7040 case and 7548 super quartz... ____________________________________ M A R K

| Mark, you are REALLY on fire with all of this modding. ..Unbelievable job with everything ! What's neat is how no matter what the problem, or obstacle, like those springbars, gasket parts, or makeshift battery holders. You still make it all work out in the end. It must be so cool, as well as very fulfilling to know how to do this so well. Thanks very much for showing us how it's done. Want to also say congratulations on your new creation, but also add that you may have just created a new trend here where watches come with different interchangeble parts. Can see it now Mark, along with the various straps, and sometimes different bezels that some watch companies supply with their watches. Now we just might start seeing watches coming with several different dials, hand sets, even different movement options as well. ____________________________________ | |

| It is a lot easier that it seems! Start off with a cheap watch and go from there... ____________________________________ M A R K
