New Zixen Model - The Zulu Empty
PostSubject: New Zixen Model - The Zulu    New Zixen Model - The Zulu Icon_minitimeSun Apr 29, 2012 11:07 am

There is a new model coming from Zixen this fall -- The Zulu. The Zulu will come in both a diver and UTC version, with several different dial configurations (see below). The size is going to be much more everyday wearable on these: 42mm diameter, 49.5mm lug to lug, 13mm thick. Depth rated to 300 meters. Movements will be ETA 2824 for the diver and 2836 for the UTC.

Below is a summary of the features of the watch. The full specifications can be found at the Zixen website: http://www.zixenwatch.com/zulu.php

Features:

The design philosophy behind ZULU has been purely based on form follows function for military application, as well as for the weekend worriers. We wanted ZULU to be light and comfortable, with premium performance and precision, razor sharp optical quality Sapphire crystal, and extreme recoil resistance with effective low light visibility. Tactically designed, you can utilize the ZULU down range or wear it down town. Unidirectional T120 click anodized rotating 4mm high bezel for easy grip, with C3 filled Tritec TM luminous markers. Water-resistant to 300m, ZULU is supplied with a premium grade NATO strap or your choice of stainless steel heavy duty 4mm ZIXEN mesh bracelet with solid screw type links with micro adjustment in the diver clasp.

Mark, these are REALLY something ! I like how Zixen always seems to do such a
great job on the watches they come out with. This new Zulu is nice because it
seems like a classic, and something new at the same time. Something that you
can put in your watch box, and not get tired of years down the road. Something
that anyone would want to have in their collection. ..VERY nice ! Smile

Thanks very much for all of the info, and also links !
