| I'm looking at Damasko (DC36?), Kremke (Valkyrie or Subzilla), Breitling (SO Heritage46) and the elusive Junghans Vista Chronograph (Titanium).

| I would like to add a Breitling or an Oris to my stable. Super Avenger on the bracelet or 48mm Oris regulator or small second.
Didn't someone from here have a connection to an Oris authorized dealer?

| Lets see...
UTS 2000m - this one is my favorite right now...I must get this one, hopefully by next summer!!!!!!! Omega Seamaster/Seamaster PO - scheduled for my 40th birthday as a gift from my wife Stowa Marine Original w/ Roman - love this dress watch and can be found sub $800...just waiting for the right deal! Sinn U1 - of course. This is a badass dive watch!
Here is the surprise --- Seiko Samurai - White Dial...but with black bezel and maybe a few modifications. I decided this one a month or so ago, there is just something about this watch that makes me want it. Pretty affordable daily wear watch too. ____________________________________ M A R K

| I've been planning on a Planet Ocean 42mm black/black for a while. I've been saving up for a while. I went to look at a dealer over the weekend and it didn't look as good as I remembered it. So I'm having 2nd thoughts. I'm now wondering if I should get a Rolex Submariner no date instead. Hmmm. I'll consider it for a while before jumping. If a good deal appears on used one it could push me to jump at any time. Otherwise, there is no hurry on either one.
But my next watch will probably be something unplanned. I'll stumble across a $10 ebay novelty, or maybe a steal of a deal on a Tag Heuer, Oris, Hamilton, or Tissot.

| Great watches everyone !!! ..In the next month or so I would like to get the Zodiac Oceanaire..I don't have any Swiss Automatics..so this would be my first. Also I am looking at the Zodiac Cyclops and Super Sea Dragon..I really like SO much out there it's incredible !..I guess I'll stay focused on those..even though I see a TON of amazing watches that you guys like...In the distant future I could see myself getting a Zeno Airplane Diver, or basically anything from Hamilton, Oris, Breitling, Tissot, Victorinox, Laco, Debaufre, UTS, Sinn, Seiko etc...Also any other big or small watch brand from A-Z ! ____________________________________ | |

| At some point, maybe when the economy gets better, I'm thinking about ditching a few of mine and just buying a Rolex sub or old style GMT. Frankly, I was much happier as a one or two watch guy. In the last year I've sold, traded and given away to where I'm down to about 12 or so. I'd like to get down to about 4 or 5 tops. For me, there is just no point in having a bunch of stuff I'm not wearing. I could easily be a one watch guy with any one of about 5 or 6 of my favs. I'll crank one up and end up wearing it for a week or so. Right now, I'm swapping out a lot to try and determine which ones are gonna be keepers. Yea .... good luck huh. | |

I feel your pain man. At the beginning of the year I had 95 watches, now down to about 18 and still feel I could lose a few more and not miss them. I guess the BIGGEST surprise for me is how much it does NOT bother me to let go of so many Zodiacs; but I guess when I start replacing them with "quote, un-quote" grail pieces (did it make sense to type that out?), I find myself going to Z's less and less... ____________________________________

As for what's on the radar...
This Week - A Black Monster and an O7 LM-1 due to arrive in a few days.
This Month - Series 2 Cave Dweller with grey dial/partial PVD bezel.
Next Month - Custom DWatch which I am waiting on the bezel.
End of Next Month/First part of January - Benarus Megladon and Halios Blue Ring. I am keeping a few, Oceanaire, Astrographic, and a couple quartz 3-hands... By the end of the year I may have less than 10 watches total...but they will be sweet ones! ____________________________________

Does anyone know where I can great a great deal on one? This Australian dealer has consistently the lowest ongoing prices on Oris. You only find lower on a one time only kind of deal from a random source. http://www.friendsoforis.com/

| Another Seiko diver. No yellow or orange dials for me though. Probably blue but black might be ok too.
Still looking for the right one.

| Every month I swear, 'no more watches'. Then another one arrives! I have yet to find out how this happens. I suspect there's one on the way, as we speak. | |

When people first start getting into watches, they are quick to pump up their favorite brand, get on every bandwagon that is popular, and put down lesser watches. We've all done this to some degree. Later, when we have owned a bunch of watches and the flame is starting to die, we realize that it's really about what makes us happy. Whether it's a $100 quartz or a 5K auto. I'm at that stage now. Get whatever you like and wear the hell out of it. You won't here any negative comments from me. The only time I raise an eyebrow is when a watch company starts pretending to be something it isn't. I.E. Chinese case and parts, but claiming SWISS. Good luck with the Alpha and put up some shots if you get one. They look cool. ~ David
