| Great observation!
I have always maintained that guys and gals on a forum about watches represent on the most minute fraction of people on the planet. We discuss watches ad nauseum daily and think that BOB IN THE CUBICLE 3 SEATS AWAY does too...NOT! ____________________________________

| This is a great thread Doc. 1st I'm really glad to see you picked one watch. Great job on the choice. Not only is it a versatile watch, it also is one that would be recognized by a WIS should you have met one. 2nd Your observations (please tell me you did not have a clip board with check boxes! LOL j/k) are very well laid out. I agree with your assertions as I've made similar observations. Now, for the rest of you. Next time you take a trip (barring any meet ups with WIS), take only one watch. You will really get to know that watch. Really get to know it. You thank us for the suggestion. | |

the Monster was a better choice - particularly given the dark rides and such. Because you NEED to check the time while on a ride.

Very happy with the choice. It went from park to pool without a hiccup and was readable in the dark rides when most other watches would have been useless. The bezel made timing most things easy (not as easy as a Chrono). It wore well on the Wachadoo and was robust enough for anything I threw at it.
While in Magic Kingdom one afternoon I thought about the many threads about watches and non-WIS choices. What do THEY wear. How popular is a wristwatch today and who wears one any more? So, I did some observing of wrists.
Out of the first 100 adult men whose wrists were visible 27 did not wear a watch.
Of the remaining 73 - 47 wore some sort of digitial watch like a Casio or Timex.
Of the remaining 26 only two watches were identifiable from a normal viewing distance of 6+- feet. One was actually a Seiko Marine Master! The other was a Swiss Army 500m Diver.
I saw 7 Rolexesque watches but honestly could not tell from 6+- feet if they were a real Rolex, an Invicta, a clone, etc.
So, it has opened my eyes a bit that in general crowd situations people really can't tell, politely, what you are wearing beyond that its a watch and perhaps that its digital or analogue. Nice work stalker ...be careful with your "research", you may get a restraining order! ____________________________________ M A R K
