Don posts about his broken toe and other problems. The lots of sympathy is very kindly shared Twisted Evil

But he is right that bad things have a way of arriving at the worst time. For us it is the busy Christmas season.

In the last 2 weeks:
1. Van gets stolen - write off. Insurance company gives about 60% of what we want for it. Two car family reduced to one car at the busiest time of the year. Who has time to shop for a used vehicle 2 weeks before Christmas?
2. Daughter in hospital - kidney issues. Extent of problem unclear, now home on emerg wait list for CT scan.
3. Oven breaks down - Got that fixed on Monday for $180. I can live with that.
4. Microwave oven starts smoking - need to buy a new one. Big family means we need a big one. Who has time?
5. 30 year old Freezer stop working - My wife is laughing and crying at the same time. Yesterday was huge feast on the thawed foods. Last minute Guests for dinner! Have to buy a replacement freezer soon.
6. Wife's tooth breaks - looks like it will need major work.

But life is good regardless. Who can be unhappy at Christmas time?

Mike.

Okay you can post your sympathy messages now:

Man oh man Mike that is a rough list there !..It's bad enough to
have two or three things going on, but when things come in bunches
like this..it's tough ! Hopefully everything gets much better and you
start getting some GOOD luck instead. Especially with your daughter,
and wife..this is most important !!! Please keep us posted..and best
wishes to you !

Thanks for kind words and thoughts from everyone.

I should clarify that I put those in order that they occured in the last couple of weeks, not in order of importance. Having to repair and replace appliances, while a pain, is not a concern as compared to our daughter's health.
