Surprisingly, it does indeed. You hear about the Monster Lume all the time. It's great and I enjoy both of them. However, the lume on this Sumo seems at least their equal. |

| Thanks. My son was in while I was going the group shot and asked what each watch was called. Thought I'd share. Left to right 7005-7110 dress watch from the '70s that was my fathers SKX009 Pepsi Diver on Super Oyster SNK809 (laying in front) Gyro Marvel with Cal 291 from 1959 (first magic lever movement) (Gold w white dial) Orange Monster - Bead Blasted (back row) SBDC001 - Black Sumo Superior 5 - SNZB31K (laying in front - white dial) Black Monster on Watchadoo (back row) SCVS013 Spirit "Blue Spark" Interestingly they all have Magic Lever movements starting with the Cal 291 Gyro Marvel (it was the first Seiko with several innovations), the 7000 series is a precursor to the 7s series that is in 5 of the watches, and the 6r15b that is in the Sumo and the Blue Spark. |

| Nice! It looks like the best lume and also largest case in your collection.
What I really like about this watch is the lugs how they are machined at a taper and diminish towards the case. The hands are pretty cool too and the large numbers on the bezel
Congrats on a nice watch! |

| Nice first pics. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but the more Seiko's I see the more I like and the more I want. Great watches, great price point and tremendous quality. What more can one ask for when spending watch money?

Congrats on a nice watch! Nice lookin watch. Yes the tapering lugs is like an exaggerated Omega lug treatment. Largest in your collection - But how big is it actually? | |

| . . . I'm sure you know how much I like this Seiko Doc. It is the model I have been working towards. Really glad to see you got one. How is it for fit on the wrist? Is it as well balanced as it said to be? . . . I love the dial, the matte finish. And fill me in, hacking and winding as well . . . ??? ( oh, and I laughed my ass off that the forum name was nearly the "Camel-Toe", for the split 12 o'clock indice . . . ) |

| Thanks guys. Let me try to answer some questions. I'll write a review of it in a few days. But for now, here are the specs for those who have asked: Automatic movement - Calibre 6R15 (23 Jewels) - Manual and self -winding Hardlex crystal Lumi Brite 200m water resistant Stainless steel case and bracelet 50 hours power reserve Anti-magnetic Made in Japan 44mm case diameter (without crown) 13 mm case thickness My initial impression of the watch was that it was much better looking in real life, and also much smaller than photos would suggest. It wears very comfortably and flat against the wrist, owing to it's relatively slim 13mm thickness and nicely contoured case and lugs. It actually wears more like my 40-42mm watches. I know it's listed at 44mm, but measuring across the face and bezel, I got more like 40mm. I couldn't get an accurate measurement of the actual case, since I don't have calipers, but visually the case sides don't contribute much to the apparent size of the watch. On the SBDC001, almost the entire bezel is seated into the case. This has the effect of shrouding the bezel, and I think it's a very well thought-out design. Oh, and it has the added benefit of being the smoothest I have ever used. Doing a lot more for me in person than the photos suggested. Very happy with this one. |

| Thanks guys. Wore it all day today and its easy to like. Hugs the wrist and wears much smaller than the dimensions would lead you to believe - which for me is a GREAT thing Oh, and to answer a question - Yup, lume is brighter than the Monsters, lasts all night, and is also Bluer than the green monster lume. |

Thanks Sean. I've asked around for a MM clasp but no one seems to have them separate from the bracelet at present. No big deal but it would be nice to give it a try at some point. Right now I'm just enjoying wearing it. |
