Quartz is not dead.... Ronda8000

At Baselworld, Ronda presented another addition to its quartz StartTech family of complicated movements. The Caliber 8000 feature chronographs with center stop-seconds, add and split functions, chrono pushers with perceptible click - Big Date with direct change from 31 to 01, retrograde day and a 4 year battery life.

The pictured “watches” are representations of possible uses of this caliber by private manufacturers.

Long live the Ronda! The 1/10-10 hour hand, and the idea of putting hours and minutes on the same subdial (dragon wing) are why i love those movements so much.

the THING they put in my Apocalypse, the thing that will never reset to zero no matter how many times i calibrate it, is the reason i hate it...although i'm more inclined to blame Stuhrling for that. Quartz is not dead.... Icon_evil

Some nice quartz movements right there ! Quartz is not dead.... 803574 I'm sure these will
be VERY popular with the various watch companies in the coming
year. I also think those watches by Ronda are pretty impressive
also. They seem to be very well made, just like their movements.
It seems like ever since they started making watches, the designs
have gotten better and better. Quartz is not dead.... Icon_smile ..On a side note..Does anyone
know if Ronda has made or makes automatic movements too ? Thx.
