| Too much alike? not IMO; Alike? most definitely. Chris aka "Ray Knight" had made custom Panny homages, some with old russian re-built (he does the re-build himself) movements, some with Unitas movements. He will be the first to tell you that Panny's style has heavily influenced the M series. I don't believe he does the Panny homage any longer since he has gotten into the Lum-Tec production. You will still one of his homages pop up every now and then is a sales forum. |

| Absolutely - Very much so.
I submit the primary reason you (we) like the LT is for its Panerai essence.

...dials, not so much IMO. Honestly if I had your 112 I'd be done (well almost - who am I kiddin). Would only go M# for materials and/or dial treatments, movements - that differ greatly from the Panny. Like the Tungsten AND on a bracelet probably yes (M27) Features you can't get in a Panny or could never afford in one.

| Nope, don't think they look too much alike either ! The overall case shape on the Lum-Tec is like the Panerai. However, I don't think it's TOO much alike. When I look at that Lum-Tec, I see a VERY aggressive sport watch with a cool dial, markers, and movement. Not to mention some fiery lume ! ..With the Panerai, it's classy, and it's smooth, with a refinedpersonality. So even though the two have cases that are alike, that's pretty much where the similarities end imho.____________________________________ | |

ONLY thing that has me hesitating is PVD finish. I can bang a brushed watch and fix it (not that I BANG my watches), but PVD wont be as forgiving if I BANG it... Hmmmm...I seem to have BANGing on the brain ____________________________________

Man, I am getting so freaking PICKY! Yep...pretty much the exact same case as Lum-Tec (both very similar to the Panerai)...but a couple hundred less, with a better movement IMO and cleaner dial. ____________________________________ M A R K
