There are plenty of watch forums but I've generally stuck with WTW and WUS. I'll try this one out, too.

I've been collecting watches for a year or so. I've been a watch fan since i saved up a few months allowance and some birthday money to buy a Caravelle in the mid 70s (I was about 12 years old). But in the last year I've gone from about 6 watches to 50 as I explore what I like, learn more about different brands, movements, etc. I've flipped many watches in the last year, but my collection is starting to settle and I'm starting to understand what suits my taste and what doesn't. I'll probably trim back a bit over the next 6 months and pick up a few others. I have no specific goal but I think I might be down closer to 30 pieces by the end of the year. Then perhaps this all-consuming obsession will become just a healthy interest.

I'm a musician first and foremost. Then watches and scooters follow. I'm a moderator at vancouverscootering.com.

Mike.

Favorites: Oris TT1 Day Date 7518, Baume & Mercier Classima 8735, Invicta Abyss 2686, Invicta Abyss Chrono 2691, Oris Frank Sinatra 7570, Invicta Russian Diver 4342, Tag Heuer Red F1.
Others: a dozen Invicta, half a dozen Zodiac, half a dozen Tissot, Armani Regulator, several Russians, several Chinese, some Orient, some Seiko, ESQ Swiss, Marina Militare, Tag Heuer Link, Longines.
Wanted: Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50, ESQ Beacon, several Oris, several Orient, several Zodiac, Rado Starliner.
Preferences: Any movement style is okay. I prefer hand wind, but automatic is okay. Quartz is fine, especially for a chrono or date, prefer no date on mechanicals. Swiss are very nice, Japanese are great but mostly boring, Russian interesting, Chinese or other Asian just fine.
