For those who aren't familiar with the watch in it's original configuration, here's a SEIKO SKX011J 200m diver's watch...
Now, a lot of people aren't so fond of the orange font on the bezel insert or the golden hands that don't contrast well on the dial..
SO, the fix! First, put a set of stock SEIKO SKX hands which are blackened, and come originally on the SEIKO "White Knight". You'll find that the lume on the Knight's hands is far "brighter" looking, and won't match well with the dial. Problem, you say? NO PROBLEM...Just LUME the dial to match!! Next, switch out that nasty orange insert for a stock SEIKO SKX007 insert, and while the bezel's already off, why not replace that hardlex with a nice SAPPHIRE...
Here's the result!

Very nice. I would say the biggest thing that is different that I like is the full bracelet versus the standard rubber strap.

Nice work. I've never gotten the gold hands and the bezel on that model. They look repulsive, IMHO, with the orange dial and chapter ring. Your changes really make it a contender.

Man oh man, it's GREAT seeing all of this !!! ..Thanks for showing us how it's done, and how GOOD things can actually turn out !!!! AMAZING stuff, AMAZING job ! ..This watch looked nice to begin with, but when you change things up like this, it's literally like putting a supercharger on the watch ! It honestly couldn't have turned out any better. The hands, bezel, and, lume are just perfect ! I like that bracelet also !!! ..Congrats !!!
