| Many love Citizen watches and the value-for-money they often represent. Lots of functions and ususlly very reasonable prices for what you receive. They also make some nice movements that others put into their watches. In reviewing a recent thread at Affordables on WUS I was struck by their being two very different types of Citizen Eco-Drive watches - those that were readable and those that were incredibly difficult to read. For example, I own one of these watches (it was a gift from my wife) but I find each of them hideously hard to read something simple like the current time. Then there are watches like these from Citizen that I think are VERY easy to read. And these that fall somewhere in the middle for me. The problem is that I think the majority of their complex Eco-Drive watches are unreadable at a glance. What do you think? |

| I think they make some of the best watches out there - in all price ranges. Their $300-600 watches are arguably the best in that price range in my opinion AND they have incredible variety in that same price point. Hard to argue with their quality as it is top notch IMO. And to have variety from this To this in the same world of pricing is just amazing. And both watches are 2 of my favorites in my collection. And some of the higher higher end watches are on par with many luxury brands. Great company IMO. | |

| I think Citizen makes some OUTSTANDING watches ! Don't have one yet, but from just seeing what everyone has here, you can tell they make some special watches. The hard to read thing really doesn't seem to be an issue imo. They look so cool, and are evidently made VERY well, much like Seiko, so they seem pretty terrific to me ! The quality, along with the designs, and price makes Citizen VERY attractive ! ____________________________________ | |

| I think some of Citizen's basic, $150-ish auto divers are great values (especially the titanium NY0054 in the first picture). Other than that, not so much. (I have no idea where I scavenged these pics. if one of them belongs to you, please accept my apology.) | |

| I have always liked Citizen watches and dare I say it, I like them more than most Seikos. Just MHO. First expensive watch I ever bought (over $100, heh) was a Citizen. Had this one for almost 20 years now and just picked this one up in case the first one tanks. | |

I'd really be interested in a side-by-side photo essay on the pluses and minuses of each of the adapters. It should be around 3000 words and include photos of not only the finished installation but of each step in the installation process for each of the adapter types. Just kidding, glad you found some for immediate use. Looking forward to what you do with it. |

| Used to own an Ecodrive Skyhawk, I think they called it. Many, many functions that a semi-dyslectic like myself shouldn't own. The two time zone function was what I used most, as my wife was living in NYC full-time, while I was traveling coast-to-coast 152 days a year, based in BUR.
There are a few new designs I like, but don't see one entering my stable. |
