It's basically just a simple slide rule ("slip stick") fashioned in a circular design. I had one (like below) in high school before hand-held calculators were born. they're used mainly for multiplying and dividing numbers very quickly, although they can also be used on roots and exponents. My Grandpa Ole was a railroad man, amateur inventor, and craftsman, who designed and actually built a complex slide rule for calculating braking force needed on trains. I even have one of several that he made (in the garage somewhere). I haven't tried using the slide rule on my Heuer, but could probably brush up on it fairly quickly - - but only if I HAD to! | |

| Tom, your Heuer Calculator looks better and better with each outstanding picture ! ..The slide rule part of the watch is the icing on the cake I think ! UNBELIEVABLE watch !!!!
