My wife loves Hummingbirds...

thats a cool pic alan, my yard has hundreds of them. made the mistake of feeding the little bastards, know they go thru a bottle in 2 days. they are great looking birds, and are a lot of fun to watch. steve

i have tried to get some good pics of them,but when they are flying or hovering they just come out shity. if a take a pic when they are feeding you have the feeder in the pic and if the sun isnt on the bird there colors dont light up.but i will try later today to get some good ones. steve

Put a cheap plastic feeder in the back yard. They will knock you down getting to it.


I was told there were no Hummingbirds around in KC and they were like flies.
I had one that would peck on the glass patio door until I would go out and refill the feeder.

hey alan, i got a couple pics so far but its a 100 fricken degrees outside. they will be out in force this evening and i will get some better pics then. steve

She will love it!

We see them in NJ from the end of June until early September. My wife loves them and has three feeders out at all times for them. They get treated better then I do. LOL We only get the one variety here, but we used to see many of the species when we lived in AZ.

That is SOME KIND of watch Alan ! ..Alot of times you see
watches similar to this that are hand painted in the different
watch magazines ! ..Interesting how it tells the time !!!
..With the Hummingbirds, have seen them here as well like
Spaceview, but they are very elusive. Kind of like Bigfoot !
..Probably saw only like two of them all Summer !

im glad she liked them alan. i like sitting out there having a smoke and watch them fight like crazy over that feeder. we have them year round, but not as many in the winter. steve
