| Get my New Swiss Army Full Day/Date today...
Looking it over...ok...ok...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
A VERY visible piece of dust UNDER the crystal!
So I am sending it back...SIGH!
Hopefully they can replace it cause I absolutely LOVE the watch! ____________________________________

| That's too bad; even the truly Swiss Made can have a glitch now and then. I'm sure the percentage is a lot lower that some others by far though! Hope you get it replaced quickly. |

| Sorry to hear that, VSA is a good brand and I've not had a problem like that with any of the 18 I've owned |

| That IS a bummer Alan ! ..It's weird because like you said it's happened two times in a row now. I remember what also happened with the Below Zero at first ! ..I guess sometimes these things are just going to happen once in a while. Even when the brand, or watch is a good one. ..Nothing to worry about though ! ..By next week you will have a new Swiss Army on your wrist ! ____________________________________ | |

Thanks Trev, I needed that laugh! I wish I had the patience and the tools to take it apart and just clean it myself Ron... Part of me is like "once bitten, twice shy" but... 1. I have EIGHT other watches that are just fine... 2. Steinhart has been VERY communicative with me regarding the fixing of the GMT hand alignment and even gave me their FedEx to send it back... 3. I just need to see how BlueDial ultimately handles this "dust spec" issue AND KEEP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER WATCH! How is THAT for an addict!!! ____________________________________

| Sorry to hear that Alan. I've been lucky in that I haven't had to send any watch back for something like that. Although I did have to send my T-SAR back for repair because the tritium tube on the minute hand crapped out . But to their credit with the repair and shipping back it cost me $42 and some change. And the battery died JUST before I sent it to Marathon and they replaced it at no charge so I was happy with that . Hope it works out for you Alan. |

It will work out fine Alan ! ..Just a little bump in the road, that's all ! ..If you can get that return shipping, and insurance refunded that would really be GREAT also. ..Let us know how it all goes ! ____________________________________

| Well I got the watch back today and I am not happy.
1. It's the same watch, I copied down the serial number before I sent it. As no more were available from bluedial.com I THOUGHT this might happen....
2. There is no dust under the crystal BUT it is CLEAR that the watch was opened as there are small, but all be it very visible, scratch marks in two grooves on the case back; marks that would be made opening the watch...
3. There is NO warranty card with the watch...
I can't find anywhere on the site that says they are an authorized dealer and since the watch has been opened and I have no card, seems to me the warranty would be void if not worked on by an authorized dealer...
So tell me, am I being TOO picky? ____________________________________

So tell me, am I being TOO picky? take advantage of their return policy and get your money back and start again. if you used your paypal account or credit card start a case with them to make sure your money is refunded once you have verified that you have returned the watch.

| I don't think you are being too picky at all Alan ! ..You want to be happy with your watch, and if you aren't, then it's probably best to return it like James is saying. That way you can clear your mind, as well as start looking for this watch somewhere else ! ..Sorry it didn't work out with this, and I hope the NWC wears off when the Steinhart comes back ! ____________________________________ | |

| I probably looked at 10-15 different locations to buy watches today... It seems to be a catch 22, in PERSON, you can put your hands on it and inspect it before you buy it but... ...you can be paying 30-50% more for the same watch you can buy online. ____________________________________ | |

| The Seiko GMT here looks like a PERFECT choice to be honest ! ..By the way, it IS kind of strange that watch prices seem to be higher in stores, than they are online ! ____________________________________ | |
