My New Hamilton Khaki Action Automatic

My new Hamilton Khaki Action Automatic.

I found this pre loved on another Forum at a very reasonable price. Since I have been jonesing for a new watch having
only acquired 3 in the past year I jumped on it. Excellent condition, plastic still on the exhibition back and not a mark to be found anywhere.
Im very pleased with it, in fact I think I am in love with it!!!
It arrived yesterday, my birthday present to myself.

Now for the weather, ehr, pictures. Tiffany?

Perfect fit on my puny 6 1/2 inch wrist, 40mm without the crown and guard, 46mm with.



Thick but pliable rubberized leather strap with 2 tang buckle just the right length for me.
Of course one set of holes is a little too tight and the next a little too loose.





Interesting large screw down crown with equally interesting guard.



smooth left case side.



2824-2 movement enhanced by Hamilton, exhibition case back.



200 meter water resistance, screw held on back.



Sapphire crystal of course.
Lume is strong on the hands and lighter on the 5 minute marks.
Not a lume monster but adequate. Still readable after 6 hours.
Smooth, precise bezel (Clicks unknown)



Been looking for a 3 hand to be able to wear in almost any situation and I think that this just may be the one.

Another interesting thing I forgot to mention. The flat black (carbon black?) on the bezel
and strap is soooooo black it looks chocolate brown in some light. An interesting effect.

I usually like my watches on a bracelet but Im digging this strap.

I sound like a broken record, but that would look GREAT on mesh...

First of all, Happy Birthday Max !!! ..It's DEFINITELY going
to be a memorable one after getting this SUPER Hamilton here !
This has to be one of the nicest Hamiltons imho. The crown
protector contraptions alone, are just INCREDIBLE ! They
not only look great, but look like something that you might
expect to see on an elite watch. It's THE BEST !!! ..Also think
the dial on your watch is extremely easy on the eyes. The BIG
numbers, together with the markers is an OUTSTANDING theme,
and the hands fit in perfectly also. I think that's probably the
most impressive part about this watch. It has SO many things
done right ! SO many details that look cool, AND classy that
you REALLY have to tip your cap to Hamilton ! ..You
have some GREAT taste in watches Max ! That's for sure !!!
Also want to add that the flat black bezel is tremendous
as well. You can even see the stainless steel of the case
through it. VERY NICE ! ..Speaking of the case, the shape
is excellent, but the build quality seems to be second to
none from what I can see. Have to say the lugs look good
too, and seemlessly flow right into that case ! ..Another thing
that works REALLY well, is the black strap, which plays off
of that flat black bezel flawlessy. Honestly don't think that
Hamilton forgot any detail with this one. Then when you
remember the movement Hamilton put in the watch, you
realize this watch has EVERYTHING ! ..By the way, the
way in which they decorated or customized the rotor
here is fantastic. This is one to be proud of and ENJOY !
