Your favorite 'beater'?....

XMT has the most wonderful poster selection of watches out there, and I drool seeing them all, fellas!
But...to go to the opposite end of the scale, what is your fav weekend beater of any make? What watch do you wear when you aren't afraid of dinging it up?
I have several...some Gs, an old 2003 Tauchmeister and now a sterile Chinese Rolex homage...oh and this great Casio AMW series beater for $50usd....

I have quite a few that fall into the beater category ranging from sporty to virtually indestructible - depending on my mood.

I have a huge pile of beaters myself. Usually i wear one of these two....

This one is virtually indestructible, and is an occasional beater.

Monster...has had the scratch on the crystal for about three years

Scooby..has been around and on vacation a few times and has held up in the ocean and on some coasters

Those are some NICE beaters everyone !!! Guess these would be a few to fall into this category. Although I
honestly try not to scratch them up either ! ..Really might need to get a G-Shock some day !

I wear this one about 75% of the time for work and play. It's got scratches on the sapphire crystal, scratches on the case, and scratches on the bracelet. But .... it doesn't get babied.



If I know in advance I'm gonna be doing something really rough (key is to know in advance) I might wear this one.

What did you scratch the sapphire crystal with?

If those are beaters, what are your SPECIAL watches?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't know how the scratch got there. It looks like it got dragged across a brick wall. I got rid of all my watches except the GMT, SINN, my old Heuer Calculator and a pretty new Sea Dweller. I have a few others, but don't wear them much. The kids have pretty much confiscated all the G-Shocks and Seiko beaters.

Before I discovered forums, I was always a one or two watch guy. I'd buy one, and wear it to hell and back. After several years, they were all beat to hell looking but each scratch and scar had a story. I just don't see the point in buying a cool watch only to wear it in the house or when there is no chance of danger so to speak. Besides, I'll send the GMT in for service one day and it will come back looking like new.

Does the wife count? Joke, just a joke! David I'm glad you wear that GMT for what it's made for! It's a rugged work watch boys just most don't have the balls to wear it like that but you can't hurt that thing! Might get scratched up but it will keep time and loves the abuse!

Don , I knew you wouldn't have a problem with it but there might be a few PC members who just don't get a good joke so I had to put it's a joke! Took all the fun out of it!

Totally forgot about this until I put it on this morning...

This Swiss Legend World Timer is my "beater" when I know we will be loading trucks or setting up an event with the chance for my watch to take a beating.

These four seem to be on my wrist the most.
