| I'm looking for my next watch. I have a Seiko 5 and an Orient Orange Mako so far. I've been looking at a few, but haven't made any decisions. I thought I'd check in and see if anyone had any feedback. The ones I've had my eyes on are the Alpha Daytona (a chinese mechanical chrono), a Vostok Amphibia, or a Sub homage like the Invicta 8926 or Orient 2ER.
I'm not really set on any of those though. I was wondering, what's your favorite <$100 watch? |

| DB- I think it will just come your way. $100 almost buy a pretty decent Swiss Automatic. I have several that I swiped in that price range. I think you are ready to evolve to a ETA 2824. I'll shoot you an e-mail. Start thinking used. | |

| I say go with the Vostok ....spend $50 on the watch and $50 on a Watchadoo to go with it. ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... Member NAWCC, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors | |

| Thanks for all the great suggestions! I'd prefer to stay with automatics, but that dragonwing is nice! Chris, I'm fine with used, I especially liked the Chase Durer. Jaw, I really like that Lemans. Where did you get that MM? I'd had my eye on those too, but didn't know where to get one without getting ripped off. |

| Sounds like you are naming a bunch of great ones there DB ! ..Add in all of the one's everyone has added here, and you really can't go wrong with any of them imho. It's honestly hard thinking of a favorite out there for myself because there are just so many nice watches. Here are a few that look nice also..but I don't have.. Citizen Military Eco-Drive.. http://www.bluedial.com/bm8475-00x.htmSeiko 5 with cloth strap.. http://www.longislandwatch.com/Seiko/Seiko_Watches_1.htmAnything from Zodiac like the Dragon Wing above or Deep Reef here.. http://www.glooks.com/watches/zodiac.aspalso might see these on Ebay or from Metrowatch for example Hope this helps, but again the ones you have named and have already seen from everyone else are REAL nice ! ..Good luck in the search DB ! ____________________________________ | |

| I would go with the 8926. I bought one for $68, hard to beat that deal. Don't be afraid of a sub $100 Invicta, their PD series is pretty solid. It would be pretty hard to find a Swiss auto under $100, but you could probably do it used. | |

| For me my Orsa Military (maybe Hamilton homage) on a watchadoo. Quartz but I like that in a grab and go and killer lume. Total investment of about $80. I like them so well I have two, a gray and a olive green dial although they both look the same in pics.. $35 for this one. | |

| After seeing these MM's, I ordered one too! I wasn't sure how nice the metal bracelet might be so I bought the leather band. |
