Really is something how NICE of a job Zixen does with their watches Dave !
It is just
so cool to see at every step, from the presentation box, to the case-back, how the
details aren't forgotten. You genuinely can feel that Zixen wants to do the best job they
possibly can with their watches, and that they want to make sure that their customers
are more than satisfied in the end. Many times watch companies might take some of
the details for granted, but it definitely looks like Zixen is one of those companies that
is created by, and for watch people, and it really shows I think.
Starting with just
the watch box is really fun imho. You have that extra nice wood exterior, and the inside
couldn't be nicer either with it's padding, tools, and straps. What a GREAT job here !
The watch itself is where things REALLY get IMPRESSIVE though. The bezel for instance
has this extremely attractive look to it. Firstly it seems to be this exceptional gray color
that at times look dark, and other times becomes a little darker. ..In addition the bezel
looks to have a real flatness to it which is FANTASTIC. The way all of the numbers, along
with markings look on it is beautiful, and the clear lacquer that seems to be on it is also
excellent. It genuinely takes the classiness up a few levels, and is just plain FUN to see imho.
Add to all of this, the eye-catching bezel edge, which genuinely couldn't be better, and all
you can say is ..Wow ! Even the look of the bracelet kind of plays off of that bezel, and
since we are on that bracelet, have say it looks perfect for this watch. The width, along with
fit, and finish is excellent. On top of that, the brushing of the steel makes the silver/gray
theme of the watch come alive. It just looks AWESOME, and the all around look of the
bracelet, and links is the grand finale of it.
Later you notice the bracelet, and how it flows
into the case. Those long lugs seem to really help with that part. The way in which they
envelop the bracelet, and introduce it to the case is amazing. Speaking of the case, it
genuinely seems to be perfect as well. It fits on the wrist just right, while also showing off
all of it's own incredible brushing, along with fit, and finish. Thinking this is one of the themes
of the watch that helps make this watch so impressive as we talked about before. Honestly,
seems to be all of the parts being done so well that makes this watch impressive. It's not just
one part, it's all of them, and the next part, the dial is a BIG part of this as well.
Just the
silver theme continuing is enjoyable in my opinion, but the block-like markers REALLY make
things exciting. Their shape, along with differening sizes is outstanding. While the orange one
at 12 o'clock is yet one more special touch that works so well TOO ! ..Also have to add
that those cross-hair lines in the center of the dial work a neat idea also. They add another
attractive element to the watch, and make things more unique. Don't think those hands
could be any better either come to of it !!! They have a sporty dive feel, and bring some
extra color, as well as edge to the dial. Really enjoying the shapes, colors, and fit into the
theme of the watch Dave. Even the second hand acts like one of the cross-hairs, because
of it's look. That just ROCKS,
..and so does the INCREDIBLE case-back here with
it's own "Impressive" craftsmanship, and look. ..Then again this Zixen IS IMPRESSIVE,
so it's perfect ! Congrats on your new Zixen Dave, and as always ..Enjoy !
Impressive watch, as well as pictures !
