What is your take on them ? Do you think we might see more, and more of them ? Might
more companies get into making them ? Or not ? How do you think the technology does,
or will compare to various automatic, and regular battery operated watches ? Any thoughts,
or opinions ?

Huh, I didn't even know they made them with rechargeable batteries.

But then, I'm a "vintage" guy. Cool

A rechargeable battery in a watch will work out well if a full charge lasts at least three months or so. If the charge only lasts a short duration it would be a pain in the ass. Also, a real good charge level indicator would be a must. I have one rechargeable, it's a Garmin Forerunner GPS watch I use for outdoor workouts. Don't really use it as a watch though.

I own a few of these and I have been happy with the battery life and operation of them. All three of them are the same style of the MTM shown, and uses the same charger. I usually recharge them about every 6 months. I guess the major reason to have this be rechargeable is all of these watches have lights that can be used as a flash light, signal light or SOS signal...now they make super bright ones that can light up a whole room.

The low intensity light (blue) is to light the dial, the orange light is the flash light.

Nice pics Gary...

Not sure if there will ever be a HUGE demand for these though.

REALLY great stuff guys ! ..Thank you !!! Smile

Tom, I hadn't heard about rechargeable watches to be honest with you either. Actually had stumbled
across that charger for the citizen, and then coincidentally got an email from Hammacher Schlemmer
talking about that MTM above. Hard to ever beat those vintage pieces of yours.

Terrific information, as well as insight into these watches as always Mark. Thank you ! I think it's very
interesting hearing about how these watches work, or might work in the future. Also think that GPS
watch you have sounds amazing too. Wow, talk about cool sir ! ..It will be something to see if these
kinds of watches become more, and more popular.

Gary, that is incredible that you own this same exact watch, and have had experience with so many
rechargeable watches. Didn't know this ! Your info, along with review also shed alot of light on these
types of watches. Thanks ! ..Can't believe how neat these watches are with the whole signal light,
flash light, SOS light theme. Seems like these watches mean business, and could really be helpful to
people. Definitely a James Bond cool factor with them too. ..Great watches, and PICS !

Alan, I'm thinking you are probably right about there not being a huge demand for these watches.
There are just so many watches out there to choose from. However, they just might have the
ability to appeal to watch people, and non watch people alike for different reasons most likely.
It will be fun to see how the watches, and technology does in the future.

Thanks very much everyone ! Rechargeable watches 46145
