Oh boy Rick, this is a REAL beauty here !!!
Can't believe how nice of a job
CW does. Like Eric said, the more you see from them, the more you end up
liking.
It's VERY impressive ! The way Christopher Ward seems to be able to
make every style of watch stand out is excellent imho. It doesn't matter if it's
classy, or sporty, a dive watch, aviation, or any style in between. They just
seem able to do things right. From the looks, to the quality, and price, these
watches are just outstanding ! Congrats on picking up another one sir. ..What
really seems to be so great about your C5 Malvern Aviator II is once again how
you have this classic, legendary style mixed with a slight modern twist. ..This
really seems to be a characteristic of Christopher Ward watches. They give
you a chance to venture into some tried, and true watch styles, but also will
change things up just enough to make it different, and eye-catching. While at
the same time, still remaining classy, or classic. It's pretty TERRIFIC !
One
small part of the watch which is a good example of this could be the triangle
marker at the 12 o'clock position. It has that tradition style to it that we are
used to seeing with aviation style watches, but at the same time has this
slight curve at the bottom of it that grabs your attention. In a way, it actually
curves along with the roundness of the dial, which is really cool !
Also looks
as if it is raised up off of the surface of the dial as well which is neat. That same
theme seems to play out with all of the other numbers on the dial too, and
you can genuinely enjoy more of the detail with the numbers as a result. From
the nice shape of them, to the way you have the silver outer edges surrounding
the white inner sections, it's beautiful to see. ..Even the phenomenal looking
hands share that silver surrounding white trait. While the hash marks, along
with outer dot markers add in some further sportiness, AND class. It's all so
enjoyable to see, and I would imagine to experience in person Rick. Guess
it's those small details, like those markers, and even the small dot marker
on the second hand that makes things even more special. That, together
with a STUNNING looking case with it's unbelievable shape, brushing, and
not to mention MORE small details like edges, smoothed sections, and various
other nice nooks, and crannies make this watch exceptional. So does the
way CW decorated this movement, and went the extra mile at every turn
with it. Beautiful looking strap as well !!! ..Congratulations Rick, and keep
enjoying !
Beautiful CW, along with pictures here !
