New Bernhardt Vintage Officer's Watch

I've had my eye on this watch for a while, and when Mr. Amos recently put them on sale I decided it was 'the time'.

The Vintage Officer is a limited edition of 300 and features a beautifully decorated dial that I simply fell in love with.

To quote the website:

"The heart of the Officer's Watch is a Unitas 6497 movement made by ETA, the world-authority on high-grade mechanical watch movements. The large, 44 millimeter steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces with a hardened sapphire crystal on top and a thick, screwed-down clear display case-back. The Officer's Watch is numbered individually and comes with a 22mm black, ostrich style leather strap with white contrast stitching and features a signed buckle."

This is a watch I am proud to add to my collection of hand-wind movement watches.

Boy oh boy, this is a BEAUTY here Rick ! Definitely have to be proud
adding this one to your collection. It has such character about it. The movement
by itself is outstanding, but so is the dial work, and look of the hands. Really is
like you picked an immediate classic up with this Bernhardt Rick ! ..Congrats
on adding this to the collection ! This is the kind of watch that looks just as nice
from the back, as it does in the front. The way the Unitas 6497 supercharges
a watch is amazing. You honestly find yourself appreciating so much about a
movement like this. All of the detail with the jewels, gears, wheels, springs etc.,
draw you deep into the watch. To the point where you really don't care what
time it is any more. It's really pretty awesome, and then to have a dial on
the watch that rivals the beauty of the movement itself makes it even better.
That outer part of the dial is beyond cool with the marker track which is then
combined with the FANTASTIC numbers. It's classic ! ..Then the mesmerizing
middle part of the dial, AND also sub-dial surprises you with another round of
excellence Rick. Seems like there are more than a few parts to this watch
that you can find yourself getting lost in. Even those hands bring you back to
a different time as they play off perfectly with the numbers here, and how
about the flawless case, and case shape. That must be phenomenl to have
on the wrist. All helped by that beautiful looking strap TOO ! Congratulations

very nice! I've been looking at this brand and came close to buying the black dial pilot version but I have to many pilot watches already.

this is a cool dial and a great movement.
