Have you seen this watch brand before? Actually noticed them in some of the pictures at the different
watch blogs in the last month or so, and thought they were really interesting. Turns out they started out
in 2010 in La Chaux-de-Fonds Switzerland thanks to two very creative entrepreneurs, Francois Renoult,
and Juliana Arbelaez-Renoult. In 2012 they introduced the SM8 collection with the SM8, and SM8 Chrono.
Each watch is limited to 50 individually engraved pieces a year. Even the movements are engraved to help
to prevent counterfeiting. The movements in the SM8's are created by Concepto who makes movements
for various watch companies like Linde Werdelin for example.
Besides the detailed movements, there is a patented sliding crown protection system that helps you avoid
activating the chronograph, dual time indicator, or turning the inner rotating bezel when you don't mean to.
Each SM8 is water resistant to 200 meters, has sapphire crytals, uses Super-luminova on it's hour, as well
as minute hands. A black alligator, and rubber strap come with each Suisse Mecanica too.
