Hey everyone, here is some news about another watch company from Detroit. They are called the Detroit
Watch Company, and they make automatic watches. There are two watches that they are making now
with one being called The Pride of Detroit, and the other being the 1701. Both of the watches will be limited
to 50 pieces within each color option, and after that the models will continue without the limited edition
numbering.
The 1701 pays tribute to french Explorer Antoine Laumet de la Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac who founded the
fort that would become what is now modern day Detroit. The Pride of Detroit pays homage to Edward F.
Schlee, and Billy Brock's adventurous spirit, and attempt to travel the globe in 15 days in The Pride of
Detroit airplane. The Pride of Detroit actually has the plane on it's case-back.
A few specifications include both watches using polished, and brushed stainless steel 44 mm cases, as well
as sapphire crystals, unique hands, and Miyota movements. With the Aviator having the Miyota 821A auto,
and the dressier 1701 using the Miyota 9132 with 40 hour power reserve. Calf skin leather straps come with
each watch also.
