| Just saw this neat article at Monochrome watches about American watches, and the history of the industry in the United States. You probably already know all about it, but there is still some interesting facts that are nice to dsicover, or re-discover. In the article it mentions how even though a lot of the industry can be seen in countries like Switzerland, Japan, Germany, and Netherlands, that the U.S. had a major role. From the One- Dollar Watch, the "Yankee" of the Waterbury Clock Co. To pioneering companies like Wittnauer, Waltham, Gruen, Hamilton, Bulova, and even Pulsar just to name a few. Even newer companies like Kobold, and RGM are mentioned. Hope you enjoy... http://monochrome-watches.com/watchtime-wednesday-watches-usa-legends-premieres/____________________________________ | |
