Hands update!!

32 hours and this mismatched set of seiko hands is running great on the miyota 8215




#53 drill for the hour hand
1.0 MM drill for the minute hand!!

That is PRECISION!

If anyone is interested in doing this and cant find a 1.0mm drill bit(very tough find out in the wild) let me know, lets say i got a sample pack from my supplier for a special job! Same goes for the #53 drill bit but you might find them at homedepot or hardware store! drop me a pm and i will send a set out!

guys it's simple the hour hands are so close you can just turn the 53 drill bit by hand, dont even need a drill! on the 1.0mm i've got one of those cute hand power drills that the chuck closes to zero, chuck up the drill bit and slowly turn the handle!

Here is a pic of my high tech 14 dollar drill (ace hardware) i use to drill out the minute hands, just tape the hands to a board with blue painters masking tape and put the 1.0mm drill in and slowly turn the handle! Takes about 5 seconds! great thing about this drill is the chuck will close up to nothing and you can go nice and slow with it!
