| As some of you know, my son Jeremy has entered the Hoka Hey Challenge. I spoke with him a short while ago and he will be heading off to Key West, FL on June 17th to have his Harley inspected and equipped with a GPS tracking system for the Hoka Hey Challenge. For those that haven't heard of this motorcycle endurance challenge, 1000 riders will leave Key West, FL on June 20th with final destination of Homer, Alaska! That's 7000 miles! No highways traveled and no hotels slept in. All the roads will be off the beaten trail and sleeping will be done along side your bike. He has readied his bike for the trip with only a set of new tires to be put on. I'm very excited for him. I will again post a link for anyone that isn't familiar with this grueling challenge and please keep my son Jeremy in your prayers for a safe trip! With any luck and proper planning he could be the winner of the $500,000 in Alaskan Gold!!!! http://www.hokaheychallenge.com/index.html

| It's a once in a lifetime opportunity! One of his customers sponsored his entry fee of $1000 and the Harley dealership he works for is sponsoring his trip!!! I'm really excited for him! |

| What a challenge! Does your son have a support team? What happens if he blows a tire? How will they know if someone exceeds the speed limit? Sounds like one HELL of a race!!!!
Best wishes for a safe and fun time for your son. |

| Cool event.Gps tracks the speed.Support teams are allowed, but most will bring tools, spare tires and have all equipment strapped to the bike.Thats really the challenge.Changing a flat or patching one isn't hard with minimal tools.Heck, you don't even need stands for that. Should be a great experiance for your son.Whether he wins or not, just making the trip is what the test is all about. |

He is his own support team. He's a Certified Harley Mechanic and is carrying his tools with him. He's been planning on this for a few months now, what he'll need in way of tools, the route, how much time from one point to the next. You are not allowed to reach Homer too early. It's all about getting there in a certain amount of time. I wish I was going along with him. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I have passed them on to him and he too sends his thanks! |

Thanks Mark! He definitely will learn a lot about himself during this trip. The thing is, it's a 7000 mile challenge, but he still has 6700 miles to get back home! |

I'm not sure. I have to see if it's going to be covered on the website. Being a Father I tend to be a little worried about him even though he's 29. I'm hoping I can keep track of him somehow! |
